LEVERAGING YOUR TECH STACK TO BE ELITE EMPLOYEES FOR YOUR BUSINESS

Have you ever been told by a business coach that you need to focus on the needle-moving tasks in your business? You know.. the "money-making activities"

And here's what usually happens...in the process of launching, working with clients, and, hiring team members, we end up signing up for one too many software.

You can blame it on shiny object syndrome, a business coach who pushed hard on an affiliate link, or insert whatever reason here.... but months later, sometimes even years later, you'll look at how much money you are spending on your tech stack and wonder HOW??

That is usually the sequence of events that leads to a major software audit and potential rehaul, and I want to help you avoid that.

As online-based business owners, our businesses rely on the softwares we choose.

I know that auditing softwares really isn't the sexiest "money-making activity" to hit your next income goal, but I want to invite you to look at the softwares in your online business as employees of your business.

Is there an employee who doesn't bring anything to the table that you should let go? AKA a software that you've somehow been paying for but don't use?

Is there an employee that talked a big game during the interview but really sucks at their job but they're such a nice person turned friend and it breaks your heart to have to let them go? AKA a software you signed up for cause everyone you knew LOVED it but no matter how hard you try to use it, deep down you really don't find it all that great. But FOMO kept you chained to the software and you continue to lie to yourself that you'll eventually get the hang of this software (ask me how I know 🙄)

What I'm trying to say is:

I believe that every online business owner should be empowered but their tech stack, NOT dragged down by it.

So I’d love to invite you to think about this question:

What’s one thing you can do this month to feel more empowered by the softwares in your business?

  • This could be implementing an automation that saves you one hour a day,

  • This could be cutting down on softwares you don’t need

  • Or spend some time this week playing around with a software you’ve been using and figure out what features you haven’t touched but could simplify your business processes.

I hope this exercise will get you a few steps closer to feeling empowered by your tech stack!

PSSSSST…. I know software expenses are a tax deduction but at the end of the day how much money are you really saving on taxes by keeping and continually paying for softwares you don’t need? 🤔

Use my Software Audit Checklist to audit your tech stack, so you can see if you've been overpaying on softwares.
